The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) is a network of consultants available to provide customized technical assistance on topics such as Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Victim Services; Enhancing Collaboration in Human Trafficking Task Forces; Victim-Centered Human Trafficking Investigations and Prosecutions; Best Fiscal Practices in Grant Management; Working With LGBTQ Survivors; The Impact of Traumatic Grief on Friends and Family Members; Foundations of Sexual Assault Advocacy; Ethics and Confidentiality in Victim Services; Understanding Disability and Addressing Accessibility; Building Partnerships and Strategic Planning; Managing Vicarious Trauma in Corrections-Based Victim Services; and Overcoming Barriers to Collaboration. Before applying for assistance, please call 1–866–682–8822 and ask to speak with an OVC TTAC Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) specialist. After speaking to a TTA specialist, an online application is required 90 days before desired technical assistance date.
National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence (NJIDV)

The National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence (NJIDV) is a partnership among the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), Futures Without Violence (formerly Family Violence Prevention Fund), and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. The NJIDV provides highly interactive, skills-based domestic violence workshops for judges and judicial officers. The NJIDV delivers a continuum of judicial education that currently includes the Enhancing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases (EJS) Workshop, Continuing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases (CJS) Program, Enhancing Judicial Skills in Elder Abuse Cases Workshop, Faculty Development, and Technical Assistance for state and regional adaptation and replication of NJIDV programs. NJIDV conducts court observations and on-site technical assistance to past NJIDV participant judges seeking help in changing practice in their courts and communities. Upon the invitation of OVW, NJIDV also conducts site visits to current and prospective grantees of the Court Training and Improvements Program, pre-award, to assess capacity to achieve their proposed objectives and, post-award, to assist with grant implementation.

The National Gang Center delivers this technical assistance. The National Gang Center disseminates information, knowledge, and outcome‐driven practices that engage and empower those in local communities with chronic and emerging gang problems to create comprehensive solutions to prevent youth gang violence, reduce gang involvement, and suppress gang‐related crime.

This project involves a partnership between the Office on Violence Against Women, the Battered Women’s Justice Project, its National Center on Protection Orders and Full Faith and Credit, and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Firearms promotes the effective implementation and enforcement of federal, state, and tribal firearms prohibitions in domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking cases. It maintains a website dedicated to providing resources to communities and criminal justice professionals on this issue. It connects communities that have successfully implemented firearm enforcement procedures with communities that seek to do so.

The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) supports the Office on Violence Against Women’s (OVW) Training and Technical Assistance Initiative (TA2TA). TA2TA fosters opportunities for TA providers to increase their capacity to meet and address the needs of OVW grantees. Through this website, TA providers can request TA2TA services, including meeting, roundtable, and webinar services and support; access TA project implementation resources and tools; upload and view training and TA events on the calendar and products in the library.
