With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support jurisdictions’ efforts to ensure that youth involved in the juvenile justice system have access to high-quality legal representation.
Additional Notes:
Funding awarded under this solicitation must be used to improve what has historically been referred to as “juvenile indigent defense.” Where the term “youth defense” is used in this solicitation, it means the defense of juveniles, which in the context of this solicitation refers to services provided to juveniles who are indigent.
