Agency Solicitation:

OJJDP seeks applications for funding to close and repurpose youth detention and correctional facilities, reinvest cost savings to expand community-based alternatives to incarceration, and assess and respond to the economic impact of closures on facility staff and surrounding communities. This program furthers the DOJ’s mission to reduce recidivism and improve public safety by helping jurisdictions more effectively and equitably reinvest resources in efforts that facilitate the successful reintegration of justice-involved youth.
