Consistent with the Bipartisan Safer Communities Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022, Byrne SCIP funds will be “...awarded pursuant to the formula allocation (adjusted in proportion to the relative amounts statutorily designated therefore) that was used in the fiscal year prior to the year for which funds are provided for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program....”
The Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP) provides funding for the creation and/or implementation of extreme risk protection order programs, state crisis intervention court proceedings, and related gun violence reduction programs/initiatives.
This Byrne SCIP solicitation combines the funds available for FY 2022 and FY 2023. Only one application per state should be submitted.
