Agency Notice of Funding Opportunity:
This opportunity supports state and Tribal courts efforts to develop and implement programs for properly and legally serving protection orders through electronic communication methods.
Required partnerships: The program statute lists 11 entities and individuals that must, to the extent practicable, be part of the applicant’s multidisciplinary partnership. To meet this requirement, OVW has determined that the application must include formal partnerships with the four entities and individuals listed below. You will provide details about these partnerships in the 3Proposal Narrative and Letters of Commitment.
- A state, Tribal, or local law enforcement agency;
- A victim service provider or state or Tribal domestic violence coalition;
- At least one state or Tribal court judge with expertise in domestic violence and issuing protective orders; and
- The department(s) with at least two individuals with expertise in the design and management of court case management technology and systems of integration.
In the first year of the award, recipients will be required to make substantial efforts to develop or expand partnerships with the remaining entities and individuals listed in the statute.
